What is EOT Crane

EOT Crane is a bridge travelling crane also known as overhead cranes which travel over the girder and powered by electricity. It moves over the parallel runways (railborad track) in factory at required span height to move material. It is supported by the building structure, or independent columns, and span gap between runways, and trolley (hoisting mechanism) move along with bridge, and enables the overhead cranes to move loads in three dimensions up/down/ long travel. Hoist mechanism lifts and lowers the load through wire rope hoist. Furthermore, EOT Cranes require engineering, and technologies to built a cranes to heavy and move material.

Types of EOT Cranes

Single Girder EOT Crane:
This type of crane has one main bridge girder, and handle the light weight from 1 tons to 20 tons in general manufacturing. Also, easy to install, and maintain cranes with remote control specifications.

Double Girder EOT Crane:
It moves with two main bridge girders, capable to lift heavy duty material from 5 tons to 500 tons, greater spans, automatic control features, anti-sway control, and applications in steel plant, heavy manufacturing.

Key Components of an EOT Crane

EOT Cranes parts makes the cranes stronger, and reliable to perform in any kind of environment.
Bridge: The main horizontal beam of the crane in single girder or double girder that span the width of the bay, and hoist/trolley support.
End Carriage: It support the crane girder and enable the crane to move along with beams. It is fabricated steel structure, travel wheels, geared motors, and connected to the main girder.
Hoist: Wire rope hoist, or chain hoist lift the light and heavy duty material and move along with the cranes.
Trolley: It carry the hoist, and manage the hoist and travels along the girder crane.
Runway: Parallel girder or beam support the entire structure. it extend with the length of bay,
Control: It is depend upon the cranes features from manual cranes, semi-automatic, and fully automatic cranes to control with pendant , or remote control, or manually from operator cabin.

Applications

EOT Cranes are important to handle material in a wide range of industries includes:

  • Steel Plant
  • Cement Plant
  • Foundries
  • Power Plant
  • Warehouses and Logistics
  • Retail
  • Paper, Textile
  • Shipbuilding
  • Train building

Benefits of EOT Cranes:

Efficient Material Handling: Bridge cranes lift, and move the objects precisely, and reach to the accurate destination.
Space Optimization: Overhead crane not use the floor, and operate into custom site structure.
Increased Safety: Smart EOT Cranes offers various safety features includes anti-sway, limit switch, overload protection, anti-collision devices, wireless control etc.
Versatile: Customized cranes as per demand and configuration that suits to the industries parameters, and increase their productivity.
